Amethi, Sep 3 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who is on a three-day visit to his Amethi constituency, expressed his anger with the local police for not investigating a murder case properly.
 
Rahul Gandhi got angry when Shahin Bano informed him that police officers of the Rudouli police station were not handling her sister’’s murder case properly.
 
Bano told Gandhi that her sister, Yasmin Bano, whose body was found in the Rudouli area, was kidnapped and murdered by eight persons to grab her land.

London, Sep 3 (ANI): England skipper Steven Gerrard has said that FA should back coach Fabio Capello, as team set off for the Euro 2012.

Sonia re-elected Congress president for record fourth time

New Delhi, Se3p 3 (ANI): Sonia Gandhi has been re-elected Congress party chief unopposed for a record fourth time on Friday.
 
Gandhi has created a record for the longest tenure as Congress chief by leading the party since April 1998 when she replaced the late Sitaram Kesri.
 
Her name was announced at a ceremony at the Congress headquarters in New Delhi on Friday.

US general claims Taliban facing ”financial crisis”

London, Sep.3 (ANI): A senior US general has claimed that the Taliban is facing a “financial crisis”.
 
Major General Richard Mills, who leads coalition troops in Afghanistan’’s southern Helmand province, a key poppy-growing region for the Taliban, said that with supply routes being blocked, the Taliban is facing a financial crisis.
 
“We believe that the local insurgency here within the province has less than one half of what they had last year in operating funds,” The Telegraph quoted Major General Mills, as saying citing “sensitive intelligence” reports.

Centre sends additional forces to Bihar to rescue abducted cops

New Delhi/Bihar, Sep 3 (ANI): The Union Home Ministry on Friday dispatched another helicopter and additional paramilitary personnel to Bihar to assist the cops in locating the three policemen, who are still in the Maoists” custody.
 
The Bihar Government had sought 4,000 additional paramilitary forces from the Central Government to deal with the rising Maoist violence.

General VK Singh to visit Sri Lanka to strengthen military ties
